Laserax receives the ADRIQ Innovation Award – Young Enterprise
SOVAR congratulates Laserax, its president, Xavier Godmaire and the entire team for winning the Innovation Award – Young Enterprise presented at the 27th Gala of the Association for the Development of Research and Innovation of Quebec (ADRIQ). This award is given to an innovative company that has had a significant presence for less than five years.
Created in 2010 from an invention of Laval University, Laserax specializes in marking, cleaning and cutting applications. Today it employs over 25 employees and 70% of its revenues come from international sales.
“I am very pleased to receive this recognition from ADRIQ. Many people have helped us get to where we are today. But I want to emphasize that it is thanks to SOVAR that we grew from laboratory rats to real entrepreneurs. The SOVAR team accompanied us and was able to invest in the company during critical periods. Without them, Laserax could not have taken off, “stated Xavier Godmaire, President and CEO of Laserax.
“We are very proud to see Laserax become a successful international company. Not only does their technology address a real market need, but Xavier Godmaire is a great example of the kind of career that young researchers can aspire to, “said Paule De Blois, President and CEO of SOVAR.
